Prayer Positions with PrayerMats

Utilizing different prayer positions enhances times of kneeling prayer, prostrate prayer and intercessory prayer without stiffness and discomfort. The following are suggested prayer positions: 


Kneeling Upright Prayer
            1. Position knee pad approximately one foot from                      front edge of bag 
          2. Kneel on pad facing front of bag.
          3. Keep back upright and fold hands or extend arms                 

Kneeling Prayer -Knees on cushion
           1. Position knee pad approximately one foot from                      front edge of bag
         2. Kneel on pad facing front of bag
         3. Lean forward resting elbows on mat


Kneeling Prayer - Elbows on cushion
           1. Position knee pad approximately 1.5 feet from front                edge of bag
         2. Kneel on mat with pad in front of knees below                        shoulders 
         3. Lean forward resting elbows on knee/Hip pad                      

Laying Prostrate Prayer**
           1. Position knee pad under waist
         2. Lay flat on stomach and rest face on face pad                      (position nose in "V" of the face pad with main                 part of pad on the forehead)
         3. Extend arms above head with palms facing                            upwards 

**Excellent position for intercessory prayer


Kneeling prayer and prostrate prayer are just a couple of the positions that can be utilized for intercessory prayer for others.  Customers have utilized different aspects of the prayer mat in conjunction with chairs, couches or other items to fit their particular needs.
